Bay of Kotor – the greatest place you’ve likely never heard of
Kotor is one of those places that once you see it, you can’t understand how you’ve never heard of it.

There are somewhere between 1300 and 1500 stairs to the top of the fortress, but the stairs are crumbling and the terrain can be slightly difficult. It took us 45 minutes to climb to the top, stopping quite a bit to catch our breath.

In Belgrade we boarded a large plane that was unmarked – completely without logos or signage except for a small Serbian flag and tiny Cyrillic script near the tail. Luckily, when you hate flying like I do, an unmarked plane doesn’t really add to the fear of flying, it just validates it.
